The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends mothers breastfeed their newborns during the corona pandemic.
This should happen regardless of whether an infection is detected or even suspected. WHO chief Tedros said in Geneva that the benefits of breastfeeding outweighed. According to current knowledge, children have a lower risk of contracting Corona. However, they are significantly more susceptible to other diseases if they are not breast-fed. Under no circumstances should women be separated from their babies, Tedros emphasized.
