German handball team competes against Austria, Bosnia and Estonia

In the qualification for the European Handball Championship 2022, the German national team will face Austria, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Estonia.

This resulted in the draw in Vienna . In the qualification, which is due to start in early November, 32 participants will play for 20 places. The two best teams and the four best third parties from a total of eight groups may take part in the European Championship. The German team's first qualifying match is scheduled for November 4 or 5 against Bosnia-Herzegovina.

The European Championship will take place in Hungary and Slovakia in 2022. In addition to the two hosts, European champions Spain and European Championship finalists Croatia are automatically qualified.
